ABOUT THE FILM

Synopsis

The story revolves around a weekend in the life of 2 flatmates living in the city of Gurugram who are forced into each other's company without any distractions after they encounter a powercut.

The idea behind the film

2bhk explores the human tendency to run away from silences. A tendency which has only grown with our exposure to technology and content.

The film questions the substance of modern human relationships

in today's times where content and media dominate our lives, the film explores how this seeps into our day-to-day relationships draining out actual substance and leaving them without any ability to form organic connections.

"The inspiration for this film comes from the concept of "small talks". Working in the corporate sector for more than a year exposed me to a different facet of human interactions - "templated conversations".

I realised a lot of conversations today are imposed and just a futile attempt to avoid sharing a moment of silence. A lot my relationships are maintained completely online just by the virtue of sharing content with each other regularly, which is both fascinating and alarming.

I intend to initiate dialogue through this film around how relationships are being formed in today's times and if they can be called relationships at all."
